By accessing and using the School of Holistic Massage and Reflexology (SOHMAR) website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or enroll in our programs.
Applicants must meet the Illinois Board of Higher Education Division of Private Business and Vocational Schools’ requirements to attend SOHMAR. This includes being 18 years or older, possessing a high school diploma or GED, and having no criminal history. SOHMAR does not discriminate based on race, creed, financial status, sex, country of origin, or residence.
Tuition and fees must be paid in full by the scheduled deadlines. SOHMAR offers flexible payment options including monthly installments for the massage therapy program and weekly payments for the reflexology program. Students electing payment plans must complete required authorization forms. Failure to maintain timely payments may result in interruption of training until payments are current. Additional fees for books, registration, and materials apply.
Students must maintain a minimum average of 80% on all written and practical exams, complete assignments and projects timely, achieve at least 80% attendance, and complete all coursework at least two weeks before graduation to be eligible for certification.
SOHMAR prides itself on providing a safe and respectful learning environment. Unprofessional or disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from the program in accordance with our rules of conduct as outlined in the school catalog.
While SOHMAR does not guarantee employment, the school provides a job board on its Facebook page with available positions when notified. Students and graduates are encouraged to seek employment proactively.
SOHMAR offers flexible part-time schedules to accommodate working adults and career changers. Full-time attendance is not required.
SOHMAR operates under the approval of the Illinois Board of Higher Education but is not accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. The school maintains the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
